The Schlingmeister 3000 is a modular, expandable, and efficient dust collection system designed for woodworking applications. With up to 13,000 CFM per module, this powerful system provides superior filtration and clean air quality. Each module houses two 25 hp fans, delivering 6,500 CFM of airflow for optimal dust removal. The system's flexible design allows for easy expansion to accommodate growing needs, while its full-length service platform and access ladder ensure convenient maintenance. Features: • Each module in the system has 2 fans. The fans sit on the clean side of the filter in the attic of the filter housing – the fan plenum. They operate together and pull in parallel. The objective is to maintain suction at the dust sources and in the hopper of the dust collector. The set point is adjustable and fine-tuned for the application. As branches are manually – or automatically – opened (and closed), the fans speed up (and slow down) to maintain that set point. If you are running a skeleton crew, you can operate the system with a fraction of a single 25 hp fan to save electricity. • Both fans are powered by VFD’s. The VFD automatically adjusts the fan speed and airflow to maintain optimum suction. • If one of the fans fails – mechanically or electrically – you can continue to operate the remaining fan(s). You still have most of your capacity. This is HUGE for reliability concerns. Our system has built in redundancy. The location of the fans protects them from the weather – rain, snow, ice, heat, cold – so they are expected to last longer than exposed fans. • The 9“ diameter x 120“ long cage-less filter bags collect dust on the inside. Premium bags are available for especially fine dust and better cake release. By securing the filter bags at the top and bottom, we do not see any movement in the airflow and the bags don’t rub against one another. The bags are cleaned with gentle vibration and we are experiencing 30,000 hour bag life. That’s 15 years of 50 weeks at 40 hours. Bag changes are expensive, timely, and unpleasant – we know you want to avoid them. • 22“ inlet flaps direct large particles – off your grinder, for instance – into the bottom of the hopper. The spacious hopper allows the air to slow down before moving into the bag section. This feature further promotes a reduction in dust load that actually finds the filter bags. This design also allows us to put the explosion vents on the hopper rather than in the filter section. • We encourage well-designed, zoned ducting with appropriately located blast gates to reduce energy consumption and allow you to size the dust collector for your actual requirements. This discussion begins in the quoting stage and is finalized in the engineering stage. • Our system is expandable. If you add machinery, you can add a module and zone with limited downtime. The tie-in can likely be completed over a weekend. • We can propose a dirty air duct package that is estimated based on an accurate machine list and layout that you provide. Any errors or changes to the list and layout may have an impact on the price of the system. • The footprint of our system is 8.5' x 8.5' (per module) with a small relay fan next to it. There is no large process fan on the ground because our multiple smaller fans are located in the attic of the dust collector. Depending on the duct arrangement, the dust collector can be installed within 2‘ to 10‘ of your building.
